4 Ways to Make Rejection Work for You
One of the BEST articles I have come across that faces the TRUTH about Rejection and how to cope with it in a manner of reframing the contexts. True success comes when you first acknowledge that all that is is because of who you are and what world you have created for your mind’s eye to see… for you will ONLY see that which you CHOOSE to see, everything else will pale in significance to that which you are trying to find. We always find what we are looking for because we pull it into our vision, into our lives, with our inner energies. What you have in your life right at this moment is all that you have attracted up to this moment and it is all because of who you REALLY ARE… not who you THINK you ARE.
The mind loves to say things like:
“When I attain this goal, I will feel satisfied.”
“If this person endorses me, I will be popular and make more money. And then I will feel respected and worthy.”
“If I get to this next level in my business, then I can finally relax and do what I love.”
If you truly believe these thoughts, then rejection will feel soul crushing. Because someone else’s “no” is getting in the way of you attaining what you think you need.
That magical time in the future is never coming. Whatever you feel about yourself now is what you’ll feel about yourself when you attain those things.
When you truly understand this, rejection will no longer have the power to hurt you. You won’t see it as a roadblock to experiencing yourself as you truly want to in this moment.
You will be at choice.
And your business will run more smoothly, grow in a more purposeful away, and feel much more satisfying.
The Conscious Lifestyle: Can a Leader Make His Own Luck? | LinkedIn
(In this series of posts we’re discussing the qualities of leadership using the acronym L-E-A-D-E-R-S. The last letter, “S,” stands for synchronicity.)
The entire field of business and government has been studied and analyzed to the point that both look like rational enterprises – if you are judging by academic programs. In reality, if you ask CEOs how they got where they are, the most common answer is “luck.” Looking back on their careers, they see – and often marvel – that they were at the right place at the right time. Luck implies randomness, if you are being mathematical, which means that success could just be random, too.
But looking at success from the viewpoint of consciousness, there’s an alternative to luck: synchronicity. A dry definition of synchronicity is “meaningful coincidence” – for example, you think of an old friend you haven’t seen in years, and the next minute that friend calls you on the phone. We’ve all experienced such moments, but they rarely change our lives or how we think of the world.
What is Synchroncity? Ask Deepak!

Yet if you take the conscious lifestyle seriously, there are attributes of leaders that can be explained no other way. For example, there are success stories where someone rose to the top, and they say of him (or her)
He made his own luck.
The waters opened before him.
Nothing could stop him.
He knew he would get to the top his first day on the job.
He led a charmed life.
A kind of exceptionalism is being admired – and envied – that everyone would like to share in. There are other general expressions about “making your dream come true,” “making your own luck,” and “fulfilling your destiny” that are used to motivate people, with good reason. Although synchronicity isn’t taught in academic programs on leadership.
Synchronicity isn’t irrational or accidental. In fact, it is rooted in the most common skill needed by a leader: Making an intention turn into a result. Let’s say that you are working with a team on the solution to a problem. Your intention is to solve it. The result you want is an answer. How do you get there? The usual answer is teamwork and a lot of sweat. Orders are given; various possible answers are explored. But unless the solution is cut-and-dried, busy work won’t get you where you want to go.
The magic key is creativity, and creativity – which comes out of the blue and often strikes at just the right moment – is synchronous. It delivers answers without the linkage of cause and effect. Synchronicity operates at a deeper level of consciousness than reason. It isn’t accidental, any more than a great painting is. Relying on your creativity is the first and strongest way to “make your own luck.”
Creativity has become such a clichéd term that it means almost nothing anymore. In this case, however, it means that every question is organized in consciousness to have an answer. Being confident of this is another strong attribute of leadership.
When teaching executives about the soul of leadership, I know they will at first be startled when synchronicity comes up, until they compare notes and find out how important it has been in their own careers. This is a mysterious ingredient from the unconscious that all great leaders harness. Synchronicity is the ability to create good luck and find invisible support that carries a leader beyond predicted outcomes to a higher plane. In spiritual terms, synchronicity is the ultimate ability to connect any need with an answer from the soul.

The Conscious Lifestyle: How a Leader Should View Power (Part 2) | LinkedIn.
(In this series of posts we’re discussing the qualities of leadership using the acronym L-E-A-D-E-R-S. The fifth letter, “E,” stands for empowerment.)
Power and success go hand in hand, which implies a learning curve that brings both. But of the two, power is more fragile. This is true for a number of reasons, including competition from rivals who want the power a leader has attained as well as the corrupting nature of power, which creates enemies. It’s inevitable that power gets wielded to benefit some and disappoint others. To keep rivals at bay, some leaders create an atmosphere of intimidation, hoping to instill enough fear to keep power within their grasp.
Even so, the Shakespearean maxim of “Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown” extends to power in general, which brings anxiety and fretfulness at every level of success, along with various temptations for the ego to run wild. To alter this situation requires a different learning curve, one that begins early in anyone’s career. This learning curve isn’t about management skills but about self-awareness.
As a leader, even when you have only a bit of power, the following situations are likely to occur:
1. You will favor some people and ignore others.
2. You will accept some advice and reject the rest.
3. People will be jealous of you and make unfair comments behind your back.
4. Rivals will constantly seek out your weaknesses.
5. Some of your decisions will work out, others won’t.
6. You will have to delegate authority.
7. You will rely on people you do not entirely trust.
These situations arise in the board rooms of top corporations, in government offices, in the military, but also on school boards and local steering committees. Human nature plays itself out when given any opportunity. No wonder that power brings such mixed rewards. To negotiate these pitfalls, a self-aware leader wants to minimize the backlash, both for himself and his followers.
Self-awareness minimizes the backlash for yourself. You are constantly monitoring your inner state, seeking to remain in the ideal position, which has these characteristics.
- You feel centered.
- You are rested and alert at the same time.
- You tune in to your emotional state.
- You are comfortable in your body.
- You feel attuned to the situation around you.
- You notice signs of confusion and conflict in yourself and confront them head on.
- Your conscience is clear.
The opposite of these traits brings down the most powerful leaders, including those who head nations.
- They are overly influenced by the voice around them.
- They are often exhausted from overwork and bad sleep.
- They are tough and hard-boiled, ignoring any emotion that suggests weakness.
- Their bodies are machines to be driven and used.
- The pick and choose which parts of the situation to respond to; the rest is denied and ignored.
- They maintain a facade of total certainty, denying any sort of doubt or inner turmoil.
- They do what needs to be done, regardless of the moral consequences.
I’ve weighted these two lists to make the first more desirable, because it describes the trait of a leader who can live with power and use it well, to his own benefit as a person. But it’s clear that many leaders prefer to be ruthless, tough, intimidating, and devoid of moral restraint. That’s why psychiatrists point out that psychopathic personality types often do very well in the corporate world – they lack any form of empathy and feel no compunctions about the way they treat others.
The choice really falls to you, so I’ll point out that in a smaller world with limited resources and a looming sense of planetary peril, the conscious leaders are going to be more and more valuable. Ruthless plunder and swaggering disregard for Nature’s balance aren’t things we can afford much longer. Human ingenuity guarantees that there will always be new avenues for success. Choosing to be a conscious leader doesn’t imply that your rise to the top will be thwarted. It’s really a matter of the road less traveled. We aren’t used to living with conscious capitalism, and yet our survival depends on it. Similarly, we desperately need conscious government and a conscious military. A new power base that can deliver sustainability is the key to success from now on. The only question is how long it will take for society to create leaders with enough vision to see it.
The question: NUMBER OF FANS (PAGE LIKES
The question: NUMBER OF FANS (PAGE LIKES) = POPULARITY or RICH LEAD GENERATION & MORE BUSINESS!!! Just had to throw this out there as I often an asked this question by new business’ entering the Facebook platform from a Business/Professional perspective… **ONE SUPERFAN EQUATES TO 75 FANS (page likers)**
The Answer: NO !!! Not anymore – not with the new algorithms in place over the past few months, evolved and implemented by Facebook… So how does it work? How do you improve your REACH and LEAD PERFORMANCE? Not with more PAGE LIKES but with MORE SUPERFANS (Quality Page Advocates – Authentic Fans who share your VALUED content with their peers on their own walls and pages, people who comment and engage frequently with your page).
From Socialmediatoday.com : “Two hundred thousand fans on your company’s Facebook page, means that you are reaching your target audience, right? Not so, according to a study by Napkin Labs. The social media ideology that more fans equates to increased engagement has just been debunked. The study revealed that the key factors to developing a leads generating Facebook brand page and social media presence were quality interactions and superfans.” http://socialmediatoday.com/koy-grant/972001/quality-vs-quantity-study-shows-superfans-are-driving-facebook-engagement… “
**THE STUDY ALSO FOUND A BRAND’S TOP TWENTY MOST ENGAGED FANS, SUPERFANS, HAVE A GREATER INFLUENCE THAN THE BRAND’S QUANTITY OF FANS. ONE SUPERFAN EQUATES TO 75 FANS. **
Another post about this topic says “I have seen rescue groups with only 700 FB fans “run circles” around groups with 5000+ fans, when it comes time for fundraising…
Why does this happen? Well, many reasons… but mainly, it is the quality of your fans that matters, not the quantity.” https://www.facebook.com/notes/rescued-is-my-favorite-breed/rescue-group-fb-fans-quality-versus-quantity/164345526962838
Even FACEBOOK wrote about it when the Rules of Engagement changed: Facebook Fans: Quality Matters More Than Quantity http://allfacebook.com/napkin-labs-superfans-study_b102500
So IF for any reason you are still disillusioned by the thought that More = Better – Here is your chance to change your mind and FOCUS on MORE Authentic Fans – Superfans because REMEMBER this **ONE SUPERFAN (Authentic Page Fan engaged advocate that creates and shares your conversation/content/communications) EQUATES TO 75 FANS (regular old ‘just for the sake of it’ page likers)**
How many FANS you have makes little to NO difference to your business’ performance other than an EGO boost – It is a way to deceive unknowing, naive, others into thinking you are better than someone with fewer likes.
However, the REALITY is that those with fewer regular fans but have real Superfans also get a ton more real business and revenue than those with lots more of Fans.
Thus, who really is the Winner in business? Of course… the one who gets more business and makes more revenue irrespective of fan base quantity.
*Also worth noting: Increasing FAN ENGAGEMENT via conversational comments/content/post likes & sharing (i.e. via your Authentic Superfans) will also increase traffic to your website, boost your overall Google Rank + overall Web-based Influence and Klout.** http://htl.li/jBKnA

David Neagle | [Fast Cash Formula Series] Article #2 ~ How to Create Your Prosperous Life.
How to Create Your Prosperous Life
I told you in my last article that my goal with this series is for you to experience true financial freedom, which means that you can create any amount of money whenever you want it.
Making money is not difficult once you absorb certain concepts and put them into practice. Central among these is that money is an effect.
Money is an Effect
Money follows the Law of Cause and Effect, which states that every action has a reaction. Every cause has an effect, and every effect has a cause.
Money (or the lack of it) in your life is an effect that you cause to happen. It’s a direct result of what you’re doing or not doing.
A lack of money isn’t caused by the economy or your insufficient education or the class in which you were raised.
Those are all excuses we tell ourselves so that we don’t have to take actions that might expose us, make us look foolish or upset someone’s idea of who we should be.
They’re excuses that keep us broke and not living our purpose.
YOU are the Cause
The good news is that once you know that you are the cause of the money in your life, you can feel your tremendous power to bring in as much of it as you choose.
If you want money for something, you’ll generate it. You’ll make that sales call without worrying about whether it’s bothering someone. You’ll raise your rates. You’ll go out on your own or tell your spouse what you really want.
You’ll be like the 18-year-old boyfriend of my oldest daughter. I shared the concepts in this series with him, and he immediately applied them and started to create a million-dollar business.
Was he a smart kid? Yes, but no smarter than any other kid out there. He had a good work ethic, and he did what I told him to do.
Apply This!
That’s the key. You have to apply what I’m telling you. You can’t just read this and think, That sounds good.
You have to take back your power and embrace that you are the only cause of the money in your life, and then take the risk. Do the things that bring in money. Command what you’re worth.
Once you apply this and experience the result, you will forever change any subconscious belief that says you can’t have what you want.
Instead, you will know that you can.
And then you’ll be amazed at the prosperous life you create!
David Neagle, The Million Dollar Income Acceleration Mentor and author of The Millions Within, teaches entrepreneurs and commission-based sales professionals how to quantum leap their current incomes past the 7-figure income level, often in less than 12 months.
